About AYDA Awards:

AYDA was founded to cultivate & groom architects and designers globally. Founded in 2008, we have now engaged 20 countries and regions, more than 1,200 education institutions and received more than 59,000 entries to date.

This competition and award are a non-profit initiative. They are purely a CSR/ inclusive business programme by Nippon Paint. Hence, participants are not required to pay any submission fees.

Every year, a new theme is circulated by AYDA International. The theme is well researched and made with talented and renowned Architects from around the World.

National teams route the theme according to their own local timelines. For Pakistan, the session opens mid-May. We engage Universities, we reach out to Head of Architectural Departments, get mentors assigned and follow up with them for Roadshow dates.

To brief students properly, we conduct physical briefing roadshow in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and zoom sessions for rest of Pakistan.

We create WhatsApp communities with students as well as their teachers to extend constant support. The session entries close between 25 – 3o Nov. A two month cooling period for students while judges select the 6 national winners who come together to present their projects on the national Finale. One lucky winner then competes for Harvard.

AYDA National Awards:

– Gold Winner: ioo,000 cash prize, Certificate, and an all expenses paid trip to the International Finale (locations disclose mid-session)

– Silver Winner: 50,000 cash prize, Certificate

– Bronze Winner: 30,000 cash prize and Certificate.

A total of 6 students are selected nationwide by the jury members to compete on the national level. After final presentations on the National Finale, the jury selects a national winner in consensus. Our current panel judges are Mr. Faisal Bilwany, Mr. Raza Ali Dada and Mr. Rashid Rasheed.
