The first physical event held on 16 September 2022 at the Sir Syed Memorial Complex. The talk was a storytelling session by two emerging firms from Islamabad SHARC and ORAD called Daastan I Mimaar. They shared their journey of architecture through thematic presentations of their work.
It was an exciting session attended by senior & junior architects and students from three schools. Q&A followed it between the panelists and participants, which was an extremely fruitful discussion.
Ar. M. Ali Lasaharei also gave an overview of the initiatives being taken under the IAP-DRR Forum and what their vision is a group of concerned architects. It was a very precise and to the point presentation talking about immediate, short- and long-term strategies to counter and be prepared for any natural disasters in the future. He told the audience of how IAP can help and be ready for an emergency in years to come. The event was a special IAP Flood Relief initiative, which was able to collect funds to be disturbed collectively.
