Government Girls High School Samnabad has been designed in such a way that the volumetric symmetry of space fits in with the design typology of the nearby spaces. The design process began by conducting and utilizing the orientation study of the space in order to maximize natural light, surrounding views and sheltered gathering spaces. Idea was to create a space which is based on an interplay of volumes, voids and solids with visually striking color themes that helps enhance the overall quality of space.

The philosophy of function over form was utilized by integrating innovation in zoning of space that fulfills the requirements of space and expectations of client. The learning outside approach that focuses on integrating daylight-filled classrooms was used to enhance the connection of indoor and outdoor space. Brick was intentionally used as a structural and finish material in order to provide a space that is visually connected to its surroundings. Gutka bricks (Jeffery) provided natural light, air circulation to the internal space while also acting as a building feature. Vents were strategically located in such a way that cool air replaces the warm air that escapes from these vents. Terrazzo has been used on the floor of school in such a way that school children are attracted to the space and play different games using patterns of the floor. Sitting ledges were provided in the corridors surrounding the assembly area in order to enhance the group learning approach.
